All 'Fachinformationssysteme (FIS)' (means expert information systems) of the UMGIS Informatik GmbH are developed under modern and innovative standards for databases and database applications. These new directives unify the operability and the 'look and feel' of the UMGIS-FIS and afford many advantages for the user, due to the usage of the latest technologies.

Optimized Workflow

Optimizing the workflow is a main aspect of the development of an UMGIS-FIS. The best possible support for the user is the aim of the new technology. A consequent revision of the interfaces to GIS and a totally new design of the graphical surface (in dialogue with the users), lead to a conclusive overall concept.

Better user management

The user management by means of the 'Fachinformations-Steuerungs-Manager (FSM)' (means control manager of expert information) allows controlling data view and the user rights detailedly. The administrator is capable of controlling the visibility to the level of single text fields. Furthermore the FSM offers opportunities to limit functions or to hide bigger topics.

Extended Adaptability

For making the working environment suit the needs of the individual user as perfect as possible, we guarantee the biggest flexibility while creating single forms. Diverse adaptations are based on the user account which makes it possible for different users to work on the same computer using different accounts. The adaptability offers thematic flexibility concerning the different requirements of the users. Furthermore an adaptation of the working environment according to determined guidelines (based on the workflow or on personal preferences) is possible.

Flexible reporting functions

The visualization and provision of data for further processing like reporting functions and data export possibilities becomes more and more important. Therefore the UMGIS-FIS offers many data export functions in common formats (MS Ecxel, MS Word, XML). Additionally the report functions are very customizable and available in diverse formats.
